Street, strip, or both. How one ratio changes the entire personality of your car.
Nothing changes how a muscle car feels more cheaply than the rear gear. It multiplies torque, sets your cruising RPM, and decides whether the car is a highway cruiser or a stoplight terror.
Lower numeric ratios (like 3.08) are relaxed on the highway. Higher ratios (like 4.10) launch hard but scream at speed. With an overdrive transmission, you can now have both.
